The BYF Girls' Flag Football program gives girls in grades 3–8 the opportunity
to participate in a competitive football program while ensuring every player can maximize their
individual potential through equal participation.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When are practices?
Practice timing will be determined by each coach once teams are set. Typically, teams practice
for 1.5 hours, twice per week at a local elementary school or approved park.
Practice time is limited to 3 hours per week.
Q: When are games?
Games are mostly on Sundays, with a few Saturday games being possible.
Q: How long is the season?
Practices begin in
early August with games beginning
mid-August.
The season includes:
- 6 regular season games
- 3 guaranteed playoff games
- Additional playoff rounds based on performance
- Top two teams compete in the Super Bowl to finish the season 🏆
Q: My daughter plays other sports and might miss some practices or games — can she still play?
Absolutely! This is a house league and every player will receive
equal playing time. We understand that many girls already participate in
other activities and, while attendance is strongly encouraged, they
will not be penalized if they have to miss football.
Q: How are team rosters created?
The goal of the league is to create parity as much as possible for a positive
competitive experience. Teams are formed using a process to evenly disperse talent
across all rosters.
