❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When are practices?
Practice timing will be determined by each coach once teams are set. Typically, teams practice
for 1.5 hours, twice per week at a local elementary school or approved park.
Practice time is limited to 3 hours per week.
Q: When are games?
They are played mainly before noon on the weekends at Beese Park, with a couple at the High School.
Q: How long is the season?
Practices begin in
early August with games beginning
mid-August and ending
mid-October before fall break.
The season includes:
- 6 regular season games
- 3 guaranteed playoff games
- Additional playoff rounds based on performance
- Top two teams compete in the Super Bowl to finish the season 🏆
Q: My child plays other sports and might miss some practices or games — can he still play?
Absolutely! This is a house league and every player will receive
equal playing time. We understand that many kids already participate in
other activities and, while attendance is strongly encouraged, they
will not be penalized if they have to miss football.
Q: How are team rosters created?
Our Tuff Division (Kindergarten & 1st grade) is primarily organized by school, but can get some mixing as we need an even number of players per team.
The 2nd grade and above divisions are organized via a coach draft based on combine results (normally around June 1st) plus past evaluation notes.
Q: What equipment is needed?
Mouthguards are required for practice and games. Cleats are encouraged for traction as we play on grass. BYF provides the game jersey and shorts.
