Health and Well Being

Football is a physical sport. Injuries sometimes happen. However, TCYFL has proactively implemented various Health and Well Being initiatives throughout the league to help our players play more safely. For instance, TCYFL has guidelines to deal with extreme heat at youth football games and practices. TCYFL also has established guidelines to reduce the risk and improve awareness of concussions in youth football including concussion training for all TCYFL coaches through SLI & USA Football and baseline Impact testing for all players 10 years and older. Finally, beginning in 2013, a Certified athletic trainer is on the sidelines at each TCYFL game.
