Each player acknowledges that registering for the
BYF tackle program, includes trying out for the Big 10 level.
Selection of the Big 10 team
is solely at the discretion of the Big 10 head coach.
A player may not “opt out” of the Big 10
The BIG 10 coach will make his team selections by the end
of the second week of August.
Then, the Pac 10 teams will be drafting their
team within 24 hours.
Note: There may be a MAC team based on our numbers.
So, Mac will draft after the Big 10, then the Pac 10.
The Pac 10 draft will be conducted by the Big 10 coach
and a coaches committee member(s).
The draft will be supervised in a manner,
which insures equal Pac 10 teams.
Pac 10 draft guidelines –
All Pac 10 head coaches and the Big 10 head coaches
will rate the players – A, B, or C.
Establish a rotation – pull number from a hat.
The order will be 1, 2, 3, 3, 2, 1, and so on.
Coaches son chosen first based on his ranked ability,
i.e. if he’s an “A” player he will be taken as his first
“A” player
Player late additions or any player movement due
to weight issues will be controlled by the head coach in that
division and the coaches committee.
All BYF Players are responsible for their own insurance. BYF recommends that Player's Families obtain appropriate insurance coverage.
BYF does not provide any medical insurance for players. Officers, Directors and Coaches are covered by insurance purchased by Barrington Youth Football, Inc.
